Your privacy

What we collect

• When you order or subscribe: your name, email address, shipping address and, if you give it, your phone number. We also keep what you ordered, your subscription choices (coffees, grind, schedule) and your order history.
• Payment: your card is entered in Stripe's secure card field and stored by Stripe, our payment processor. Your full card number never reaches our website or our staff. We see only the card type, last 4 digits and expiry date.
• Signing in: we email you a one-time sign-in link. We keep only a scrambled copy of each link, and links expire after 15 minutes. There are no passwords.
• When you contact us: whatever you choose to include in your email or call.
• Visitor statistics: we count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not track you across other sites. We see totals, such as page views and the kind of device used, not who you are.

How we use it

• To roast, pack, ship and bill your orders and subscription deliveries.
• To send emails you need: sign-in links, receipts, shipping and tracking updates, and reminders before a paused subscription restarts.
• To answer your questions and help with your account.
• To keep the site secure, for example by limiting how many sign-in emails can be requested.

We do not send marketing email unless you ask to receive it, and you can stop it at any time.

Who we share it with

We never sell or rent your information. We share only what each of these services needs to do its job for us:

• Stripe: processes and stores your payment details.
• Cloudflare: hosts this website and its database.
• Pirate Ship and the U.S. Postal Service: receive your name and shipping address to print labels and deliver your coffee.
• Our email provider: sends sign-in links, receipts and shipping updates.

We may also share information if the law requires it.

Cookies and other sites

• When you sign in, we set one cookie so you stay signed in for up to 30 days. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.
• The map on our Contact page comes from Google Maps, and photos on our Gallery page load from Instagram. Those companies may collect information under their own privacy policies when that content loads.

How long we keep it

We keep order, payment and subscription records for 7 years for tax and accounting purposes. Sign-in links expire after 15 minutes, and sign-in sessions after 30 days.

Your choices

• See and update your shipping address and payment card on your account page.
• Ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. We delete what we are not required to keep for tax records.
• Stop marketing email at any time. Order and shipping emails continue while you have orders.

Children

This site is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and its effective date. For significant changes, we will also email customers with an account.
